JCM formed collectively in East Lansing, Michigan when vocalist/guitarist Jordan Chase Maroko decided to seek out musicians for a band. He had a repertoire of songs recorded on his own and wanted a band with depth. He found bass guitarist Keith Schonberger through a mutual friend and the two hit it off. Keith's background is in mostly punk/rock, which mixed with Jordan's acoustic funk gives new life to all of his songs. They soon found drummer Aaron Miller and keyboardist Alex Gauthier and recruited them to the band. Aaron and Alex both have classical training in jazz and a background of many other genres. The last member to join the band was saxophonist Alan Sloan. Sloan, with a background in classical and jazz, added a beautiful touch to the overall sound. The band's music is an eclectic mix of funk, jazz, reggae, jam band and alternative rock, a sound suiting to any mood. Come and waste the day with JCM. Read more on Last.fm.
