Formed in 1995, Jamie's Brother has written and recorded over 100 songs. Initially, their music was described as commercial rock, which was not exactly where the band wanted to reside. So Chris dumped his keyboard and began making noise on guitar. The result is what you hear on their cd's Down and their debut - Jamie's Brother (1997). Highlights include over 1500 combined spins in regular rotaion for their songs "Drive" and "Reason" on KDKB in Phoenix during late summer 1997. Drive was as high as 5 on the playlist at one time. They were also included on two "Virtually Alternative" cds along side Alice in Chains, Dave Matthews, Danzig and many more. The band was also the sole opener for Crosby Stills and Nash at the Mesa Amphitheater in August of 1997. The cd's were released independently and sold several thousand copies nationwide.
