Mystical Gate is a group from Voronezh, Russia. The band was founded in 1992 and originally named Aggression. Two demo albums were recorded from 1992 to 1995 which established the band in the local Russian underground metal scene. The first demo was titled "Hell 'Em All". The second titled "S.A.T.C.L" (Sexual Attraction To Corporal Lips) received some favorable reviews in the local Russian press and copies were sold abroad.

In 1995 Alexander "SHARP" took on keyboard duties and the band's name was changed to Mystical Gate. In 1996 the band recorded their third album "In Sadness Gloom" in NMLK Studio. During the same time the band gave a series of concerts including Live in Volgograd together with Tales of Darknord. The band was working with Undead Wood Production to release "In Sadness Gloom" when the label closed business, placing the album in limbo for many years. Finally in 2004 the band signed a contract with Stygian Crypt productions which finally released the album in October 2004.

Mystical Gate finished recording their fourth album "Out Of Control" in 2008 which was released on Casket Records in March 2009.

The bands musical style is death metal incorporating a unique synth keyboard sound.
