Ducky, real name CK, is a tattoo artist and former electronic music producer from the West Coast. His music is a range of hypnotic warehouse and experimental club productions, stretching from soft and intimate to full-on hardcore. He also to provide vocals to many EDM producers, such as Leotrix, MUST DIE! and Jauz.
In 2010 he majored in recorded music at Clive Davis Program at NYU’s Tisch. Moving west from New York on a whim, he quickly bubbled up in the LA and internet scenes with releases on OWSLA’s sister label NEST, Japanese tastemakers Trekkie Trax, Ryan Hemsworth’s Secret Songs, Activia Benz, Main Course, Dim Mak, and more.
His career started at 14 when he released his first album, Low Frequency Days (available on iTunes), and continued with two more albums (The Automobile, The Dreamland Series) and an EP (Weekdays EP), live performances, and a foray into DJing that proved successful in the San Francisco scene, as his alter-ego DJ Fidget.
In December of 2021, Ducky announced that he will no longer make music. The artist released his album, "It’s Gonna Be Great" on Dec 1st and in a statement posted to social media also noted that this album will be his last release. "If it was just me and you guys I should do this sh– until the day I died,” the artist wrote. “This industry really broke my spirit while I was in it and I cannot continue to fight for the tiniest shred of space at the intersection of transphobia and misogyny in this frat that will never respect or even accept me".
In October of 2022, Ducky posted an image on Instagram revealing that he has been focusing on himself, that he became a licensed tattooer, and that he began transitioning. No promises of returning to music was made however.
However, in May 2023 CK released new music under a new alias called a.k.a. skips. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
