The singer-songwriter, cellist and pianist hails from the north of England She’s been writing songs forever but went the classical route for the bulk of her life, studying music until she had two degrees and a proper job.

She then worked in music-related fields, sometimes reviewing other musicians’ albums and interviewing artists. When she wasn’t doing this, she was singing in bands around London.

Having just recorded her first CD, Lucy Jane writes quietly powerful, spacious twisting songs about the internal life of others. She performs and records with talented Danny Thompson soundalike double bassist Peter Marsh, and their music feels touched by Lou Rhodes, Emiliana Torrini, and Debussy.
