There is a second band of the same name, Grand Canyon, from Toronto. Singer-guitarists and songwriters Chris Seldon and Courtney Farquhar create a partnership that pits a rugged, hard-lived voice with a mellifluous, honeyed one. Performing their songs at packed out venues, they tell stories of characters and places, rendering vivid pictures which evoke a simple longing to escape into the beautiful starry country sky.
