Kanildúfur is the collaboration between Sjón and Baldur J. Baldursson. It is a haunting and ambient experience set to the vision of Sjón's poetry

The poet Sjón is well known for his work. Ever since his first book at the tender age of 15, has he commanded a lead within the literature world of Iceland.He was a member of Medúsa, the surealist group, along with Thor Eldon, Einar Melax, ólafur Engilbertsson, Jóhamar and Matthías Magnússon. Medúsa was active nearly twenty years ago in Reykjavík.
Sjón has written 11 poetry books, 3 novels and 3 plays.
His latest poetry book is 'Myrkar Fígúrur', which has won praise and rave reviews. The book is also the backbone to the BadTaste/OZ CD 'Kanildúfur'.
