Stushie are a group of young traditional scots musicians, mainly from the trossachs area of central Scotland. They recently won a gold medal at the 2008 Falkirk MOD in the Fiddle Group competition. Also in the summer of 2008 Stushie went on a very successful tour of the West Coast of Canada, where they attended the Coast Strings School of Celtic Music in Roberts Creek. Their tour included several very sucsessful gigs, including a gig with the Cast in Powel River B.C.
2009 is shaping up to be a good year for the band, with them already having supported the young traditoinal musition of the year, and opened for Karine Polwart, Annie Grace and Karina Hewett at the Doune and Dunblane Fling. The band is due to star re3cording their first album, "For Those Who Didn't Get it" in june.
