Mob of God is a new band founded in Portugal, on June 3, 2006. The band members are: Joao Oliveira (lead vocals), Nuno Tavares (guitar and vocals), Ricardo Penedo (keyboards), Pedro Torradas (bass), Bruno Gaspar (drums).

Though tagged as alternative, the band's music is influenced by various genres from folk to metal. They say:

"We listen to everything from Folk to Metal, so our music kinda comes across all those influences. That's pretty much a reason why you should not just judge our music based in one song itself.

To us every song is a moment and there are a lot of moments in life. Some reflect pain and anger and are heavily distorted; some reflect love and inner peace and just flow smoothly. That's what our music is... no boundaries, no genres and absolutely no tags... just feeling and absence of fear. So take a look around and join the Mob, you may like some of the flavors of our everyday world. There are many to choose from."
