APIX, is an indie rock band formed in early 2006 in the city of Cumaná, Sucre State, Venezuela. From that year, its members set the mission to make their own songs based on the convergence of trends that suit each of their personal tastes regarding music.

The band name is an acronym that comes from the fusion of the words:

Antidepressants (A), Psychotropic (P) Inadequate (I) and Unrated (X) APIX

Since its inception, the band had the truest acceptance. From their first appearance in Rock & Roll Café (Cumana), APIX began playing in various parts of the city, becoming known as pop band with a hybrid blend of alternative rock elements. By mid-year 2008, they recorded another demo in Hakashit Records, produced by Rodrigo Cabrera Raydan, that we heard: "Habitacioón 2.0" and "Ni el humo, ni el polvo".

In the course of time APIX music has taken new nuances, lyrics were becoming more bluntly honest to their vocalist and writer. Jess, drains the raw side of their lives, while sharper guitar riffs compel feel every word. Raw chords, new sounds, much more elaborate and accented drums, set the new album coming constructed with great care.

Since 2010, the band has participated in major local and national events move as: Union Rock Show, Moulin Rouge, Shark Club, Hard Core Bar, Le Music Café, which led to share stage with: Paranoia, Buenaparte, Espiral Jack, Frontera Sur, Andriuw, Fauna Crepuscular, among others. APIX completed production of its first EP called "La Cápsula", of which "Cristal" appears as the first single. This track has a high acceptance of public and critics of the move so it has served as an introduction to the band since late 2011. In early 2012, the band won through popular vote, the position of winner in the second "Pronostico MEGA" of the year, which ensured national simple rotation in the FM radio circuit "Unión Radio".
