Here I Go Again Lyrics

Here I am once more
In the same familiar circumstance
Trying to make some sense of all the pain
Now here I go once more
Going round and round in this fairground
Holding on for dear life again

And I thought I'd learn by now
What I did
And though the tides have turned somehow
I'll live

And hearts'll never get older now
That they don't break
They keep beating anyway
And hearts'll never get older now
That they won't bruise
And every time you lose yourself
Here I go, here I go, here I go again
And here I go, here I go, here I go again

And I fell for the pretty lies
'Cause are easier than goodbyes
But now I'm left alone here with the blame
And I tried to be just like you
When you cried I felt it too
But now I'm done with carrying it, no shame

And I thought I'd learn by now
What I did
And though the tides have turned somehow
I'll live

And hearts'll never get older now
That they don't break
They keep beating anyway
And hearts will never get older now
That they won't bruise
And every time you lose yourself
Here I go, here I go, here I go again

Here I go, give it everything that I have left
Here I go, giving myself till I forget
Who I am and who I was, I don't know yet
Here I go again, here I go again, here I go again

And hearts'll never get older now
That they don't break
They keep beating anyway
And hearts will never get older now
That they won't bruise
And every time you lose yourself
Here I go, here I go, here I go again
And here I go, here I go, here I go again

Amy Wadge (born Amy Victoria Wadge on 22 December 1975) is a British singer-songwriter living in Wales but originally from Backwell, a little village just outside Bristol. She has many song-writing credits and has co-written tracks with Ed Sheeran, including his hit song "Thinking Out Loud" for which she won the 2016 Grammy Award for Song of the Year. She was voted Best Female Solo Act at the 2002 and 2003 Welsh Music Awards.

Wadge started song-writing at the age of nine, originally on the family piano. When she was 11, her parents found a guitar in a junk shop, brought it home and Wadge taught herself to play along to Tracy Chapman’s debut album. It was then she discovered a passion for the guitar. While still at school, she regularly gigged around Bristol’s celebrated and numerous music venues. At the age of 14, Wadge signed her first record deal with her band ‘Two Of A Mind’ and released her first single at the age of 16.

Wadge started performing at Open Mic sessions in Cardiff’s Toucan Club and soon started developing a fan base and gaining critical recognition. Wadge signed with a small independent Cardiff label, “FFVinyl”, who were also doing A&R work for the BBC, seeking out local acts for the 2001, “Radio 2 Music Live” week in Cardiff. She got a slot on the Janice Long late night session at Clwb Ifor Bach and was heralded as one of the week’s highlights, her set being broadcast in its entirety that night.

Wadge was voted Best Female Solo Act at the 2002 Welsh Music Awards, seeing off a challenge from Charlotte Church. 2003 saw Wadge take the Best Female Solo Act title for the second year running, this time ahead of Cerys Matthews.

Wadge recorded two further albums; “Woj” (2004) and “No Sudden Moves” (2006). Wadge's third album was called "Bump" (released April 2008) as she was 8 months pregnant at the time and came at the end of her "Bump on the road" tour. Read more on Last.fm.
