Rattys Narrows is Peter's first of a three recording efforts on the Flatacre label.
The Rattys Narrows recording includes killer performances by Richard Ivey on vocals, Eli Mullen on guitar, Paul Pasanen on drums, Rob McLean on keyboards and Peter on bass, piano and vocals.
Rattys Narrows is rooted in rock and modern blues, with the words grounded in what Peter was feeling at the time: Ideas, observations, events, stories, love lost and gained.
Although the album was completed some years ago, it's just now been made available (soon to be available on itunes, rhapsody, amazon, etc). Despite that, the music has had some good exposure. Saturn cars used the track 'Maybe Someday' in a national TV campaign to launch the ION in Canada.

Although The Jericho Notes recording was completed in 2004, it's just being released now (soon to be available on itunes, rhapsody, amazon, etc). But, it's jazz. Happily, there's no best before date. Having said that, a critic at the well regarded U.S. publication, Jazz Week, ranked The Jericho Notes, 6th best recording of 2004. Just ahead of Alice Coltrane and Al Jarreau.
The foundation of the recording is a trio comprised of Robi Botos, on piano, Mike McLelland, on drums and Peter Holmes, on bass and vocals. They're joined on various tracks by horn players Kevin Turcotte, William Carn, Chris Mitchell, Sean Nykwist and Alexis Baro.
The Jericho Notes was written and produced by Peter Holmes, with Igor Vrabac for the Flatacre label.
