Rising Regime is a death/thrash metal duo from Greenville, South Carolina. 
 Darrell Ritsick (vocals, guitars, bass) is responsible for writing the debut concept album Survive or Die. Stylistically, this album blends thrash metal riffs, death metal vocals, and punk energy into an easily digestible 35-minutes of raw energy. His northern Pennsylvania upbringing can be heard in the influences from New Jersey thrash veterans Overkill and more recent blackened thrash innovators Skeletonwitch. Some critics mistake Rising Regime as a European band with influences from At The Gates, Carcass , and Amon Amarth heard throughout their debut album.
 In late 2019, Ritsick recruited the drumming prowess of Rushton Stegall whose drumbeats blend the groove and aggression of early 2000’s metalcore bands such as Lamb of God and DevilDriver. Rushton’s passion for sci-fi novels has broadened the scope of the world-building that continues on their sophomore album, The False Path. 
 Ritsick said “Where the first album focused on the Immortal Son and the zombie apocalypse, The False Path is the tale of the villain, Hivemind, and the ensuing battle between his soldiers and the Immortal Son’s zombie horde. We have a lot of cool things planned to further develop the story but we’re going to keep that to ourselves for now.” Read more on Last.fm.
