Born and bred in Cape Town. Singing and composing on guitar since the age of 8. She has worked with Nic Hazell, Patric van Blerk, Paul Peterson, Hal Shaper and Wendy Oldfield. Performed with Zolani from Freshly Ground in the early 90′s at a womens day benefit, singing Paradise Road. Lauren Roberts, Nic Hazell and Tina Marie started a band called Temporary States of Being, winning a battle of the bands in 2000.

Tina Marie’s greatest influence are Sade, Meschell ‘n deGeo Cello, Cafe’ Del Mar, Soul Candy, Fleetwood Mac, Simply Red, Mattafix, Massive Attack and Morcheeba to name a few.In March 2011, working closely with Wendy Oldfield as producer, Tina Marie began working on her first solo album. The first five tracks were recorded, mixed and mastered at Digital Forest Studios by Chris Tuck. Instruments and co-composition by Ben Bardenhorst and additional composer, Wendy Oldfield.Album to be released in early 2012.Gravity, a track featured on the album, has already received airtime on radio stations throughout South Africa and Namibia and has been very well received, reaching number one on Heart FM.
