Hold You Now Lyrics

This one is for my city girls
I'm wondering if you'll get with me girl

Country youth, enuh
Yea yea

My lady lemme hold you now
I don't wanna hold you down
Come to me lemme show you 'round
I know, I'm from the country take you outta town
You naa go wa fi go back home

My baby lemme hold you now
I don't wanna hold you down
Come to me lemme show you 'round
I know, I'm from the country take you outta town
You naa go wa fi go back home

Let me take you from a place where
Politicians they don't play fair
Brainwash di youth dem from the daycare
I speak of youths because a few is what we may share
'Cause me and you, we can make a truly great pair
Me love your mind and your body too
Down to every molecule
Stand firm inna your solitude
Me woulda love fi you combine with me
That would really put my mind at ease

My lady lemme hold you now
I don't wanna hold you down
Come to me, lemme show you 'round
I know, I'm from the country take you outta town
You naa go wa fi go back home

My baby lemme hold you now
I don't wanna hold you down
Come to me lemme show you 'round
I know, I'm from the country take you outta town
You naa go wa fi go back home

Me say ya eyes pretty like
The light inna di city night
And a you me want fi see tonight
Me say you hotter than the gritty, I
Wonder if you would accept this water that is bubbling up in my chillum pipe
Me waa fi see you prosper inna wa you do
But me haffi follow through, honor you

You need fi tell me wa you wanna do
My little lady lemme hold you now
I don't wanna hold you down
Come to me, lemme show you 'round
I know, I'm from the country take you outta town

You naa go wa fi go back home
My baby lemme hold you now
I don't wanna hold you down
Come to me, lemme show you 'round
I know, I'm from the country take you outta town

You naa go wa fi go back home
You so divine inna your essence
Mi love your effervescence
You full me up a blessings
Mama Yashi when you dressing
You destined for peace by the speech you addressing me with
And everything you do I see fit
A you alone the Rasta man a sleep with
So long as we stick together, we rich together
No fish, no feathers
No deaders so we syncing better

This ya ship ya no
Baby girl come lemme hold you now
I don't wanna hold you down
Come to my city lemme show you 'round
I know, I'm from the country take you outta town

You naa go wa fi go back home
My lady lemme hold you now
I don't wanna hold you down
Come to my city lemme show you 'round
I know, I'm from the country, take you outta town

You naa go wa fi go back home
Saint Elizy a mi dwelling place
Sometimes dem nuh have no bread in plate
Hungry belly but dem celebrate
Life and meditate, ites and elevate
We na go church but me woulda love a wedding day
'Cause if them violate, 'cause we moving at a higher rate
Di warriors will make the fire blaze
'Cause Selassie I we praise
This love will never expiring

No need for you to ever shy away
Baby lemme hold you now
I don't wanna hold you down
Come to me lemme show you 'round
I know, I'm from the country take you outta town
You naa go wa fi go back home
My baby lemme hold you now
I don't wanna hold you down
Come to my village lemme show you 'round
I know, I'm from the country take you outta town
You naa go wa fi go back home
