2. Matt Henry, 22, began writing music at the age of 17, after the death of his mum lead him to quickly develop a quirky and unique sound, portraying the emotion in his lyrics. The next few years were spent gigging In and around his hometown of Leeds, as well as writing for his debut EP. In 2012 Matt entered the national competition “live and unsigned” a contest that celebrates original live sounds. Matt made the final at the O2 arena and was praised for his voice and songwriting skills. In 2014 Matt joined with songwriter and keys player George Holliday, Drummer Mike Deakin and bass player Tom Midgely who play at live shows and contribute to the songwriting and production.

In 2012 Matt released his first E.P. “Zenith” to relative critical acclaim. His new E.P. ‘Out of the Dark’ is currently at the production stage, with aspirations for a spring release. The E.P. will be distributed worldwide by Sony music. ‘Heartbeats’ is the first single from this highly anticipated record and was released in October 2014. On January the 5th 2015 the second single from ‘Out of the Dark’ named ‘What If’, was released and is currently available worldwide on iTunes, and Spotify. Read more on Last.fm.
