Ruby’s love for music began at age 9 with a gift – a red guitar accompanied by words that she accepted as a challenge: “playing and singing at the same time is too difficult”. From that moment onwards her voice and guitar were inseparable. Performing became a part of Ruby’s fabric, playing all over the Melbourne music scene in venues such as The Retreat Hotel and The Tote.

In 2023 Ruby tackled a longstanding goal and developed her producing skills, moving away from her singer-songwriter roots she was able to bring arrangements to life and unlock a new sound that expanded her sound – now pulling from inspirations like Maggie Rogers and Olivia Dean. Ruby best describes her music as the pop love child of folk and soul.

Ruby is busy writing, recording, and producing her first full body of work. Her debut single, "River," released in April 2024, has been her most successful yet, earning over 30k views on TikTok.
