1. Most well-known is the creator of the James Bond Novels:
Ian Lancaster Fleming (May 28, 1908 – August 12, 1964) was a British author, journalist and Second World War Navy Commander. Fleming is best remembered for creating the character of James Bond and chronicling his adventures in twelve novels and nine short stories. Additionally, Fleming wrote the children's story Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and two non-fiction books.

2. Ian Fleming is also the name of a metal/alternative rock band from Los Angeles. Their debut album The Wrong One will be released in the fall of 2008. The first single from the album is called Be My Baby.
The band has a broad range of influences, from 90's - 00's metal to commercial pop/rock, using thick down-tuned guitar riffs and at the same time incorporating strong memorable melodies in the songs.
