Brian Snr firstly started DJ'ing GOTH and ALTERNATIVE tracks at age 17, mixed with a bit of NEW WAVE and ELECTRONICA at a club called the FRIDGE in 1989, which later became an industrial and ELECTRO CLASH club and movement. Soon after that around 1992 Brian started hanging out and bartending at the legendary night club in SOUTH AFRICA called BAKAROOS which belonged to family friends...It was here that Brian slowly but surely made his way into the club scene...at the very birth of it all. Being influenced by the HIGH ENERGY,NEW WAVE and EURO DISCO club sounds of the early eighties, understanding the global sound of DANCE as we know it today came naturally. Brian continued to fuel his passion for music with every song that sparked a good vibration and in 1996 Brian then started DJ'ing HOUSE music. In 1999 he started his own record store specializing in DEEP HOUSE, BREAKS, DISCO and ELECTRO, called CAMINO RECORDS. As a DJ he gained valuable knowledge and experience from every angle in the industry. He's popularity grew and small, UNDERGROUND parties snowballed into solid residencies at most major night clubs, cocktail bars and lounges that South Africa had to offer. Brian held residencies at LIQUID STATE, CLUB AUTOMATIC and AFTER SEVEN, making guest appearances at SUBLIME, REALITY, ONE ONE FIVE, FUNK, BASSMINT, RETRO, TRIBE, THERAPY, GASS, TRUTH, and the list goes on...doing everything from dance events, music retailing, producing and sound engineering... He has performed with some of the worlds best DANCE MUSIC producers and DJ's...TROUBLE MEN, PEACE DIVISION, JT DONALDSON, JEREMY HELLEY, TROYDON, SUPERFUNK and ANDRE KING to name a few, along with South Africa’s finest DJ's and Producers... In 2002 Brian started recording, determined to make it into the recording industry. BRIAN SNR signed his first track entitled MISFIRE on the ONE ONE FIVE label in 2006.and a track entitled HOMETRENDS by BRIAN SNR and J D, under the production name JANOVA JACKS was also released in 2006. At the end of 2006, BRIAN SNR signed a ten track album titled SHE FEELS ELECTRIC to Joburg's dance label MORE MUSIC RECORDS..
