The town of Whitby outside Toronto, Ontario is an excitement suck-hole. Unless you play hockey or lacrosse, or pressure your kids to play hockey or lacrosse, there isn’tt much to do. This is where The Mad Murdocks are from and why the band formed. The members needed something to keep them busy in a place devoid of anything cool.

The band started in 2009 with the current line up has been together since the fall of 2011. They play fast, energetic music influenced by the body of punk as a whole, taking inspiration form 77, 82, and contemporary times. These factors contribute to a fresh, yet familiar sound. Live, the band delivers an energetic show, full of sweating, running, jumping and singing-a-longs. Their shows are totally a fun
time and the band loves to play.

The band released their debut 7″ in February 2013 on Get Party Records. They plan to record in the summer with a release to follow. Also in the works this summer is an
