From 2010, squealshuft is active again as Rob's main project. The second incarnation has now released as much material as the first spread over the Phoenix Rises EP, The Wrong Things/Auto-Filtered single, and the work in progress Three Feet High And Falling album.

Sheffield, 2001, after the latest band had fallen apart Rob McCormack sulked in his spare bedroom. As luck would have it the spare bedroom had in it an Akai box that recorded sounds, and another Akai box that distorted them. By adding the Marshalls and the Fenders, and a terrible voice, ten cathartic songs emerged as Bad Burn. The times have changed, and the situations that caused squealshuft to come about have themselves gone away. Rob continues to work under other names.
