Rough Shop is from St. Louis, Missouri. The band's recordings include: Destination Anywhere (2005, self published limited edition EP); Far Past the Outskirts (2006, Perdition Records); and Here Today (2008, Perdition Records).

There are a couple of versions of Rough Shop, but core members are John Wendland (vocals, guitars & mandolin); Anne Tkach (vocals & bass); Andy Ploof (vocals, guitars, dobro & mandolin). These three musicians are sometimes joined by Spencer Marquart (drums & vocals); and Nate Dahm (keyboards) and guests like Colin Blair (Fiddle), Peter Hesed (Accordion), and Sean Anglin (backing vocals).

Current members of Rough Shop have formerly been part of One Fell Swoop (John Wendland and Andy Ploof), Nadine, and Hazeldine (Anne Tkach).
