Given The Day was a post-hardcore/metalcore band from San Diego, California, United States. The band was established in late 2010 by Michael Burrows and Garrett Chambers in San Diego, whose innovative style is a unique and melodic blend that incorporates several varities of genres. G.T.D's first release of "In Search of Eden," is a collaboration between the two artists and reflects both sides of their favored genres. GTD's album was written for the intention, of the two members to find like minded musicians to form a full band. Within a month of the album release in May 2011, Michael and Garrett were auditioning musicians all over through Skype, YouTube email and even flying potential members to California for a final audition. In June 2011, GTD had an audition with their current, and first official drummer, Joshua Soto from IL. The three members then went to the studio and recorded the new single "Eh.. No". As the bands music progressed it became difficult to find members who met the expectations of the bands rapid progress. After an extensive search, GTD's had paid off and the band received a video audition for second guitarist. GTD welcomed Nate Frank to the band in Dec 2012. The rest is history to be made.
