Shark Infested Daughters was a metalcore band from Calgary, Alberta, Canada, active from 2010 until 2018. The six-piece lineup consisted of lead vocalist Chris Thoresen, guitarists and vocalists Dan McCormick and Oliver Carter-Wells, bassist Tyler Beninger, drummer Yannick Mathieu, and Erika Leah on synthesizers and vocals. Known for their experimental approach within the heavy music scene, the band developed a distinctive sound that incorporated metalcore with melodic and synth-based elements.

The band released their debut EP, Reflections of the Dead, recorded at Echo Base Studios in Calgary with producer Casey Lewis. Due to the complexity of their setup, which included two guitarists and three keyboard setups, the recording process was notably challenging. Despite this, the band completed the EP over several months, which received positive reception within the local scene.

Shark Infested Daughters maintained a thematic focus on personal experiences, avoiding generic metalcore themes and breakdowns to focus on more meaningful lyrics. In later years, they collaborated with notable musicians, including Emmure's Frankie Palmeri, who contributed to their single "Cetra." Inspired by bands such as Killswitch Engage, Parkway Drive, and Make Them Suffer, they cultivated a following in Calgary’s competitive heavy music community.

After the band's disbandment in 2018, vocalist Chris Thoresen and guitarist Oliver Carter-Wells formed a new project, Tidebringer, named after one of Shark Infested Daughters’ singles.
