I Don't Even Know Why Though Lyrics

You know what to say on my way out
Hit me with the hate, been a while
Now I'm going straight through the fire, fire
I don't even know why though
Get me on a wave then you fade out
Hit me with the light, got me hired
I should get away from you, I know, I know
I don't even know why though

High hopes, I fall for the cycle
High low, I'm on on a spiral
Love me, why dope me then leave me
I don't (I don't even know why though)

I just want to put my weight on you
Switch it, smoke it, ima sway on you
No one shootin', ima wait on you
I don't even know why though

I just want to put my weight on you
Switch it, smoke it, ima sway on you
No one shootin', ima wait on you
I don't even know why though

Maybe it's the love that you show me
Make my body feel like it's holy
(Feel too good to say you hurt too much, too late...)
You're just what I need (I don't even know why though)

High hopes, I fall for the cycle
High low, I'm on on a spiral
Love me, why dope me then leave me
I don't (I don't even know why though)

I just want to put my weight on you
Switch it, smoke it, ima sway on you
No one shootin', ima wait on you
I don't even know why though

I just want to put my weight on you
Switch it, smoke it, ima sway on you
No one shootin', ima wait on you
I don't even know why though

I don't even know why though

I just want to put my weight on you
Switch it, smoke it, ima sway on you
No one shootin', ima wait on you
I don't even know why though

I just want to put my weight on you
Switch it, smoke it, ima sway on you
No one shootin', ima wait on you
I don't even know why though

I don't even know why though

Alina Baraz, a 21 year old Los Angeles-based singer and songwriter, is the ‘’next leading star of the emerging class of leftwing pop singers.’’ Alina invites listeners on an explorative journey that challenges their perspective and frees the mind of all boundaries.
Alina eventually caught the attention of electronic musician Galimatias, who she connected with via SoundCloud after writing and recording her own lyrics over one of his previously-released instrumentals, which would ultimately become their first collaboration, entitled "Drift". Alina and Galimatias soon began working on additional songs together, releasing the single Make you Feel plus an EP, which includes Drift and Pretty Thoughts. They recently followed up that project with the new single titled Fantasy, which will appear on the EP Urban Flora this spring, a comprehensive trove of their collaborations to date.
