Sunny ol' Stoke-On-Trent; birthplace of Slash, Lemmy and some guy that used to be in Take That. It is also home to Friends of Ken. Their style is a kind of mish-mash of alternative-pop-punk-rock which produces a fast, raw sound with huge choruses and big melodies.

They have been together for six years, with Big'un (vocals/guitar), Sven (guitar) and Al (bass/vocals) meeting at uni and Hof (drums) joining them two years later. Since then they have gone on to play shows across the length and breadth of the United Kingdom and occasionally stumbling into Europe.

They have supported acts such as Reel Big Fish, Ash, Razorlight, The Babyshambles and The Misfits (Oh Yes!).

Friends of Ken are well known for their live shows which are always energetic affairs and have been known to include the odd surprise here and there (pyrotechnics and fancy dress are not uncommon).

It's during the gigs that Friends of Ken really bring their talent and experience to the fore.

With almost 150 shows under their collective belts , ranging from backyard parties to fullblown festivals, they have developed the ability to work an audience so that nobody leaves a gig without a smile on their face.
