The Mitchells are an indie pop band from Cincinnati, Ohio who take an orchestral approach to their nuanced blend of folk and indie pop.

Guitars use elegant interplay to create a canvas for the melodies, giving the rhythm section freedom to drive the dynamics from near-silent to full-tilt. Their poetic, storytelling lyrics, along with a range of other instrumental voices, weave into the fabric of their songs.

Forming in 2012, the stand-out blend of folk and symphonic sounds on their "Bird Feather” EP landed The Mitchells in the lineup for both the MidPoint and Bunbury music festivals, Cincinnati's premier national and regional indie music events.

The Mitchells is also the name of a band from Northampton, Massachusetts, who formed in the Spring of 1994 and continues to play there locally.
