Born to Prudence Amy Williams & Gregory Starkey, in the small town of Childersburg,AL. His Mother
tells stories all the time to family and friends on how she used to pat her belly when she was pregnant
with Corey and watch videos all the time, and she'd find him kicking to the beat at times as well!! Corey's grand-
mother instilled a gospel upbringing in his life where he was definitely raised in the church, and sang in the
youth choir, also president of his youth choir. Corey has always had a passion for music, he would be the
child out of six cousins growing up together to somehow always come up missing, but where ever you found
a speaker with any sort of tune, there you would find Corey. At the age of 10 yrs old Corey lost his grandmother
but stayed strong as he could through the difficult time to continue singing, knowing that it would get him some
where eventually, he continued to strive for his longtime dream. Dealing with many ups and many "let downs" around
the age of 17 Corey caught his first break, he attended an Omarion promo concert in Smyrna,GA of his senior
yr in high school. V-103 promoted the show at BestBuy, Corey was called on stage to sing, and blew the audience away
shortly after getting off stage he met his then manager Frank (Big Frank) Hagans. They established a very close relationship
and to make as much happen as quickly as possible. Corey was very excited about finally getting into the industry, but
had to find out the hard way that dreams just don't happen over night. Corey was placed in a male R&B group that went
on to perform for many different artist, execs, and producers from all around. Unfortunately the group disbanded in, and
since then Corey has went on to continue pursuing his career as a solo artist signed to an independent label (Kool Team Ent) gearing up for the release
of his first official mixtape (Broken Silence 10/20/09) and soon after his debut album.
