oXane (real name: Sjoerd Los) is currently living in Nijmegen, The Netherlands. Started off having a passion for music in his youth, listening to [underground] hiphop and r&b before these genres were as huge as they are today. When he was a teenager he discovered electronic music [notably drum 'n bass, techno & IDM] and until this day this remains his main passion.
Going to illegal teKno parties influenced him by the complete engulfement in sound which was possible there.
Online since 1996, he has been interested in the power of the internet longtime, and through that medium able to encounter a wide range of different musical genres.
Released his first album in spring 2007, called 'rhizoma' [named after the theory of the french philosophers Deleuze & Guattari].
Now a student in Cultural Studies & Literature, he is interested in both indulging in creative processes for himself and learning more about the theories which are like a fountain of inspiration and bringing insight and knowledge to the deeper meaning/foundations of creative urges.

The music he makes is a blend of minimal techno, IDM, broken beat, electro and hiphop. Also is producing hardcore teKno under the alias of oXateK.
