Emerging Oklahoma City rock band All Kings All Poets release their debut studio album, What We’ve Become, to audiences around the world on Thursday, October 4, 2012. The album is the pair’s first release as a band, following Corey Keller’s successful run as the bassist for metal band A Sequence of Ghosts. Corey teams up with renowned drummer and Tulsa native Duncan Grantz to deliver a refreshing message of hope and positivity with What We’ve Become.

Produced by Cody Nichols (Rapture Ruckus, Sean Lee, Gumby), the album was recorded at Revealed Studios in Chanute, KS over a period of only one month. In addition to working with Nichols, the band was joined by AJ Perdomo of the widely successful alternative rock band The Dangerous Summer for guest vocals on their anthemic new single, “What I Need.”

Following nationwide tours and widespread success with former rock groups A Sequence of Ghosts and Starlit Platoon (and a subsequent stint of solo careers), the eventual partnership between Corey and Duncan was inevitable. The two recognized a vital and valuable opportunity and started their new endeavor together, allowing them to begin a vehicle that would serve to connect others with music. The band is founded with the intention to spread positivity to as many lives as they can reach.

“We were tired of fighting the fact that we couldn’t play music together anymore,” Corey says. “We clicked so well musically, and eventually said, ‘let’s just do it!’ We even played music on each other’s solo EPs, and were in constant support of the other’s project from the start.”

Originally from the small tourist town of Ruidoso, NM, Corey Keller began his music career in Kansas City, MO, before settling down in Oklahoma City. Duncan Grantz grew up in Enid, OK, which paired a large population with a small-town feel. Duncan used this to his advantage in order to connect with other musicians and begin his drumming at an early age before moving to his current city of Tulsa, OK. Corey and Duncan dedicated their lives to music at an early age, and have their eyes set on a goal of spreading their message of positivity and hope. Read more on Last.fm.
