There are at least 4 bands that use the name The Forest:


1)The Forest are a lo-fi band formed as a 3 piece in Manchester 2003. This line-up released the single Living Room in 2005, but then split. A short lived 4 piece line up gigged in 2006, but from 2007 onwards The Forest continued as a 1 piece, recording 3 albums: Hidden Fortress, Lion Out and Alone In Music. Jonah Leo Stevenson is the remaining member.

2) The Forest were a 4 piece Australian Post Hardcore Christian band from Townsville, Queensland. They released their Debut S/T EP in mid 2007 on Shape and Size records. They have played a multitude of festivals and gigs around Australia, including popular Christian festival Blackstump. Vocalist Javed Sterritt has also played drums for The Middle East.

3) The Forest are a Techno minimalist duo made by Vako and Bachi.

4) The Forest were a short lived lo-fi 3 piece consisting of Eric's Trip's Rick White (guitar and vocals) and Chris Thompson (drums and backing vocals), and Clarence's Ken LeBlanc (bass). They were active from 1989-90, and a remastered compilation of their recordings was released in 2019 on the RickWhiteArchive Bandcamp.
