Nate and Gwyn live together in Charleston, SC.

The idea for the band originated in 1991, when their father created a bedtime story called "Flipper and Bobby and Suzy." Every night they would go on a new adventure!

First, Bobby and Suzy would take a magic potion that Flipper, the dolphin, gave them to breathe underwater. They would then journey to the underwater land of Ribbontrobe through a drainage pipe connected to a nearby pond. They were the lead counsel to King Lon Zimmer, who would approach them with the problems of the day. The adventures were five minutes long, Gwyn always fell asleep before the stories ended.
