I'm Winning the Race Lyrics

Are you sure you had to move,
Move that far away?
Just to be lonely
In a different state.
Well, the trouble with living
Is there's no escape
From the lessons in life
And a lonely grave.
So, how is Memphis tonight?
Are you still alone?
Is your face smiling bright?
How is Memphis tonight?
You know I've missed our talks
Since you moved away.
The dancefloor is quiet
And that's how it will stay.
Cause I really miss my friend.
We lost her in the rays.
The town is not the same.
Not the same place.
So, how is Memphis tonight?
Does the couch pull out?
Are you kissed goodnight?
How is Memphis tonight?
I don't believe that everybody's lonely underneath it all.
I can't believe that everybody's lonely underneath it all.
Highways are boundaries.
If you take them to far,
You've got alot to prove here,
But who you doing it for.
You know she's looking down
On everything you do.
Be stong, be brave
Her strength is in you.
So, how is Memphis tonight?
Have you made your mother proud?
Have you swallowed all your pride?
How is Memphis tonight?
And I don't believe that everybody's lonely
Underneath it all.
And I can't believe that everybody's lonely
Underneath it all.
I don't believe that everybody's lonely
Underneath it all.
And I can't believe that everybody's lonely
Underneath it all.
I don't believe that everybody's lonely
Underneath it all.
And I just can't believe that everybody's lonely
Underneath it all.

There are three bands named Inkwell, two current and one past.

1) Inkwell was an emo band from Atlanta, Georgia existed from early 94 to mid 96. Inkwell released two 7"s, a split 7" with The Hal al Shedad, and a song on a comp 7".

2) Inkwell is also the brainchild of former My Hotel Year frontman, Travis Adams. Together with Davey Pierce, Inkwell brings a new sound to the rock scene with their intricate melodies, clever production, and energetic vocals. Their combined 20 years of record making experience is quite evident considering the lyrical intricacies, picture-perfect songwriting, and slick production. Inkwell's debut video is a groundbreaking animated gem poised for success at the major music video channels. Look for Inkwell on the road, on the radio, and on TV this summer.

3) In 2004, cinch (Cam Smith) and Ryan Trann met while studying audio engineering at the Art Institute of Vancouver-Burnaby. They became friends and created “Inkwell”, a product of two minds from vastly different backgrounds. The two bring their musical flavours together to produce a unique combination of techno and house; aggressiveness and subtelty. Rocking homemade gear in their live performance, these two Canadians are involved in all aspects of techno production. Truly jacks of all trades, you’ll find them designing sounds, hardware, and software, all as a means to an end; a seriously bumpin’ dancefloor. Minimal Techno is the backbone of their set, but it often veers in other more diverse territory without warning.
