Famous Kels (26) is the newest addition to the music industry. Originally From the south-side of Chicago 103rd and Wentworth, he attended high school in Bolingbrook, IL. His mother said, when he was little, a young Famous Kels used to wake his sister up at night blasting music through the hole house. Eventually, they got him a keyboard for his birthday, sparking his interest in music. He started writing music and quickly started getting recognition from friends. In his neighborhood, Famous Kels was known as simply "Kels", a nickname that stuck with him since elementary school, with eventually developed into his stage name, "Famous Kels".
He got his first break writing the hit song "Thats What You Are" by Amerie in 2006 but didn't release until 2007. Following that was "Temperature" by Sean Paul in 2006, and his hit "Me and You" by Cassie in 2006. He didn't further his career until he made a life changing decision to move to Atlanta GA. There he was introduce to much of the music industries leaders. Quickly gaining the respect of a hard worker, and very smart; he began his own record label called Dream Worldwide Entertainment / Music Group. Famous Kels also has quite a name in the promoters world. He has been a radio and club promoter since the age of 16, so entertainment has been his life.
He has traveled the world with his music. He has mix tapes out in South Africa, Europe, and Canada. There has been much expectation for his new album coming soon. There have been leaks of his music to radio stations across the United States were he had his attorney release letters to stop playing his music, which no other artist has had to do in the history of the music industry. The name of his album is called "New King of Hip Hop" which doesn't have a release date at the moment, but we are told by his management will be very soon
