There are two known artists using the name Numby.
1) Iowa City artists who makes use of homemade instruments among other things.
2) A short lived avant-prog super-group.

1) Nimby is Brenden O'Keefe, Iowa City long time resident, local train hopping ripper, and general super enthusiastic supporter of the local weirdo scene. Nimby as a project is focused around a home made Tupperware trash bin synth drum kit with some pedals to back it up. Big damaged beats, blasted vocals, and a whole slew of destroyed loops and distortion, totally killer.

2) Nimby was the moniker chosen for the 2006 release of the album Songs for Adults by Bob Drake (Thinking Plague and 5uu's), James Grigsby (U Totem and Motor Totemist Guild) and multi-instrumentalist Jerry Wheeler.
