Recording an album was never the original plan. The original plan was to record a song - a cover of the Oasis song "Fade Away" - just to hear what his voice sounded like coupled with guitar. When Mike and his friends decided the results weren't bad, he continued recording more covers with the occasional original song here and there. All of this morphed into the idea that it was time to stop doing covers and to start recording original material: A full album's worth. It wasn't to become rich or famous, nor was it because Mike thought he was overly talented with the world deserving to hear his songs. Recording an album was a creative opportunity and a new challenge. It also provided an opportunity to have a ton of fun along the way. Read more on Last.fm.
