Savina Giannatou is one of the greatest singers globally. She was born in Athens but she comes from Kefalonia. She was a student of Gogo Feorgopoulou and Spyros Sakas at the Phonetics School. She has studied at the Music Theater department of the Cuidhall School of Music and Drama in London.

Her debute was in 1979 on ERT TV 3rd program’s “Edo Lilipoupoli”. She has worked with the greatest Greek composers, like Lena Platonos, Niko Mamagaki, Niko Kypouro and many others. She has worked on traditional, electronic and impromptu music as a singer and as a composer.

The last years she collaborates with the group Primavera en Salonico, with which she has the records “Anixi sti Saloniki”, “Tragoudia tis Mesigeiou” and “Panagies tou Kosmou”. She has participated in many international festivals, Womad’s among others. It is worth saying that her record “Panagies tou Kosmou” was in No 11 on Top Music of the World Music Europe Charts.
In the summer 2001 Savina Giannatou visited Kefalonia for the first time for an unforgettable concert at Kourkoumelata’s Center.
