It is common that a band’s name doesn’t actually mean anything these days, yet Hypermodal’s name stems from the basis of their musical style and practice: keyed up and overstimulated electronic and organic instrument sounds organized in a decoupage of various moods and scales to express the heaviest to the lightest of human emotions.

In sequence with the forward-thinking sounds, Hypermodal’s lyrics comment on their passion for political activism, civil rights, energy reform, and anti-corporate-capitalism using a sometimes avant-garde and defiant rock n’ roll inflection that gave the grunge movement it’s signature sound. And to top it off, lead singer Nicholas Davio’s beautiful and raw vocal gestures inject knockout emotion into the songs, which masterfully float forth atop Daniel Durrett’s sea of digital-organic noise nirvana.

In a time where electronic infusion is becoming the norm, Hypermodal is pushing the status quo; paving the way for the next true rock n’ roll movement. The pure mileage of musical evolution that they have covered is something most bands don’t see in their entire careers.
