In The Arms Of Providence was a post-hardcore band from Portland, Maine, United States.

Let me also say that this is a specific genre-based band that swims in the vein of Glassjaw, Thrice and Thursday. The five-piece group is more than a pleasure to watch perform, it is entertainment. This is not to detract from the band's musical ability as lead singer Chris Moulton proves he has the vocal range of Whitney Houston (without medication or Bobby Brown). I can almost see a rendition of "I Will Always Love You" exploding from the lungs of the young singer. Almost.

In The Arms Of Providence, an equally great band name, has some of the most creative guitar-based riffs and time signature changes I have ever witnessed, performed by dual-guitar gurus Nate Johnson and Mike Caminiti. Brace this with the jumping, crawling, moshing, hugging atmosphere that accompanies ITAOP ­and the extraordinarily detailed and tight performances by jazz-trained drummer Dan Capaldi with bassist Micah Davis and you have a musical ensemble that will rock, shock and stalk you all the way to their next show.

ITAOP traveled to Michigan over the winter to record their first demo, which can be purchased by attending one of their shows, which in itself is a religious experience. The band plans to showcase their skills to the general public during the summer and then record a full length later on this year. Speaking of showcase, ITAOP is playing legendary CBGB's for label scouts later this summer.
