BIRI are an un-signed band from Hull, UK, who have been described as playing "post-punk jigz like post-drink kicks". Influences from My Bloody Valentine, Pink Floyd, The Brian Jonestown Massacre and the Pixies are all evident.

Initially formed in July 2010; they spent 9 months writing before playing their first gig on the 14th of April 2011. They had a busy Summer of gigging in 2011 before releasing their debut EP on the 8th of September. In the past, the band have supported the likes of The Chapman Family and Turbogeist. Since the end of September, BIRI have been writing their follow up record whilst manipulating and improving their sound. They intend to release a full album by the end of 2013/early 2014.
