Born Curtis Wilson Jr, Mac Sleepy is the Definition of Da South. Coming up in Memphis TN is no walk in the park. Surrounded by Gangs, Drugs, Prostitution and Gambling one could understand how easy it is to fall astray, and that's exactly what he did. But somehow he always stayed in tune with his goals and focused on his music. In 2007 he lost a close family member, Carlos Jerome Black who was like his brother to the same streets he was apart of. This tragedy inspired Mac Sleepy to take his craft seriously & he recorded a whole album of material the same year with fellow Memphis artist/producer/engineer K.T. of Smilez Down Ent. entitled 'Gutta Musik'.. After a brief fallout Mac Sleepy returned with 'It Iz What It Iz' produced & written entirely by Mac Sleepy which got the attention of the music community. Music to him is an escape from the harsh realities of everyday living. Utilizing his quick witt mixed wit pain, Mac Sleepy rose from the ashes thru the Flames. His story is no different from yours, it's just worded and expressed in a style that's completly his own. Now he's about to release hie 2nd project entitled 'Dont Sleep On Me' which is sure to raise some eybrows, with the bulk of the production (16 of 18 tracks) done by Mac Sleepy.
