"Four brothers who grew up listening to and playing music, Freres Lapierre are a Greenfield, MA based band writing and recording original music together. The brothers first met and first started making music in the same place: their parents’ house. Dad is a musician and song-writer who nudged the Freres towards music, providing instruments and sage music advice. The oldest, Adam plays guitar and sings half the songs, Noah plays drums, Zachary plays bass and sings the other half of the songs, and the youngest, Isaiah, plays keyboard and whatever else he’s told to play. While they spent their young lives jamming and playing cover songs, it wasn’t until the summer of 2011 that the decision to begin writing and recording original material was made. Since then, the brothers have individually moved all over the Northeast (Brooklyn, Fitchburg, New Bedford), making gigs difficult to come by, but they have continued writing and recording when they find themselves home for holidays and summers. They have released two EP’s recorded in their parents’ basement and have finally moved on to record a full-length album in a real studio. Freres Lapierre is a combination of songs written by both Adam and Zachary over the last year and a half using sounds from multiple styles and genres along the way.
