Matt Eakle has been playing with Alex Baum and Jack Dorsey since the late '70s in a band led by Jerry Garcia’s favorite saxophonist, Martin Fierro. Matt says of his mentor, “Martin always brought all his energy to the stage -- physical, musical and spiritual. That’s where Alex, Jack, and I learned to really listen and support each other.”

When Matt moved to San Anselmo in 1998 he discovered Edelman Sound Studios, owned by pianist Joey Edelman. Joey was into the same soul, pop and jazz music that Matt loved, so it was natural to introduce Joey to Alex and Jack -- and the Matt Eakle Band was born. Read more on Last.fm.
