PHONO TONES is an instrumental band led by a pedal steel player.
The band started in 2011 with Ijichi Kiyoshi (drums/ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION), Inomata Yosuke (bass/drums DOWNER), Iizuka Jun (keys/UNDER LIFE), and Miyashita Kosuke (Pedal Steel). This four-piece band is bringing a new wind to the instrumental music world with catchy songs that go beyond the boundaries of instrumental music, the beautiful sound of pedal steel, and sometimes powerful, hummable melodies.
