Viitasen Piia are a Finnish folk band led by singer-songwriter Piia Viitanen. The band have released four albums, the first of which, Viitasen Piia, came out in the autumn of 2012. The band's musical style has been described as organic folk, combining powerful Finnish lyrics with elements of Americana, country, and folk. The themes of the songs revolve around the relationship between humans and nature, other people, and oneself, as well as Finnish poetry. In addition to Piia Viitanen, the band members are Mikko Malmivaara (guitar), Matias Tyni (keyboards), Juho Niemelä (bass), Miika Luoma (drums), and Sarah Palu (harp and kantele).
