SHOW-GO (born October 31, 1999) is a Japanese beatboxer. His real name is 甲斐 正悟 (Shogo Kai).
SHOW-GO is originally from Hokkaido and currently lives in Kyoto. He graduated from Sapporo Kita High School and Sapporo City University, Faculty of Design, Department of Human Space Design in Hokkaido. SHOW-GO started beatboxing when he was in the third year of junior high school after watching a beatboxing video of HIKAKIN.
He participated in his first beatboxing competition when he was in his first year of high school. In 2017, he became the Japanese solo beatbox champion at the Grand Boost Championship. He also participated in the Asia Beatbox Championship 2017, where he placed third.
The following year, he made it to the top eight at the Asia Beatbox Championship 2018. He also won first place in the video qualifying round of the Grand Beatbox Battle 2018 held in Switzerland, becoming the first Japanese to advance to the final tournament, and achieving a place in the top 8. He participated in the Grand Beatbox Battle 2019 the following year.
In February of 2020 he released his first album, TASOKARE, followed shortly by his second album, Beatbox Only Vol.1 in May. He released his first EP, JAPANESE, in October that year. His third album, Beatbox Only "SPROUT", was released in April of 2021.
He posted the song "Jasmine" on YouTube as a wildcard for the 2021 Grand Beatbox Battle, and it has been viewed 17 million times (as of August 27, 2023). He placed 6th overall in the video preliminaries, but withdrew from the competition due to the COVID-19 pandemic. He released his fourth album, Beatbox Only "DAYBREAK", in April of 2022.
On May 3, 2023, he announced that he had begun producing music under the name 抄語 (Abstract). On May 10 of the same year, he began distributing singles under the name 抄語. “すべてわすれたら” (If You Forget Everything) was the first he released under the new name with “まひるの月” (Midday Moon) released in December of 2024 being the most recent.
In May of 2024 he released his fifth full length album, called Beatbox Only “ALIVE”, on streaming platforms under the name SHOW-GO.
