The Providence, Rhode Island-based indie rock quartet named The Biltmores was formed in October 2005 by singer/guitarist Dan Baxter, his bassist brother George Baxter, guitarist Jon Pitts, and drummer/mandolin player Brendan Leonard. The Baxter brothers had been writing and recording songs together for over five years by the time Dan approached his fellow classmates Jon Pitts and Brendan Leonard. The four members used their shared similar musical interests and passion for writing original material to create The Biltmores.

Throughout 2006, The Biltmores continued to play live shows in the area and write new material. In less than 7 months they played over a dozen shows and wrote 24 original songs. They built up such a devoted fan base in that short period of time that a local college newspaper published several articles about the band, including a cover-page article about the "Band Craze Phenomenon" gripping Providence College, which featured a picture of the members of The Biltmores.

In June 2006, The Biltmores traveled to Chicago and worked with acclaimed indie rock producer Mike Lust, who has worked with popular Chicago-based bands Wilco, Sexfist and The Outlaw Family Band, among others. There, they recorded their first full-length album titled "Same Story, Same Ending" which features thirteen original songs. Three of the tracks off of this album were played on NBC's "The Today Show" that aired during the summer of 2006.

The Biltmores are currently playing live shows and writing new material for their next album, which they plan to record in June 2007, in addition to promoting their album to various record labels and radio stations.
