Rain Diary was formed In Helsinki/Tampere. (2006) First Rain Diary’s music was mostly based on acoustic verses, but quickly took a more electronic direction, and is currently evolving into dark wave and industrial flavoured landscapes.

In autumn 2008, the band released its debut EP, Rain Diary, which was quickly sold out and became an underground favourite in semi-gothic circles. The director Juha Lankinen (Sara, Jonna Tervomaa, Emmi, etc.) shot a music video for the song ‘It’s Only Rain’.

In spring 2009 Rain Diary started to work on its debut album with the producer Jaani Peuhu (Iconcrash, Kwan, Thunderstone, etc.), and the first single ‘Lost’ was released on January 6th 2010 supported by the video by Jani Saajanaho (Before The Dawn, Profane Omen, Misery Inc.).

Currently the band is seeking a record deal to elevate things to a whole new professional level.
