The Small Sounds, originally from Houston, Texas, began as a collective of friends sparked by a shared appreciation for folk, retro pop, 60's psychedelia, and old country. Their songwriting is influenced by everyone from The Byrds to American Analog Set, Johnny Cash to Caribou, Leon Russell to ... you get the idea.

They have become known for their interplay of sprawling pedal steel, jangly guitars, Fender Rhodes, and harmonies, all of which accent strong folk-pop melodies.
