Cardiac Kids was a punk band from San Diego, California. They were supposed to have been an upcoming band for Cargo Records according to the 1997 Playstation game "Courier Crisis", which their friend helped make. (This is how the two songs from Viva Uranus were put into the game). This band never got signed to that record label, and unless you knew them locally and somehow got ahold of one of their EPs or albums by attending a show, the two songs from this game are the only ones you would hear. Any cds, tapes, or LPs of Cardiac Kids are extremely rare. Their first album was recorded in 1994, released on a friend's record label (Belo Records) in 1995 and was called "Flat Broke" (the original name of the band). It was released on a friend's record label. Next in 1995 they recorded their Viva Uranus EP. The band separated after this and still remained friends but this EP was not released on a label. Recently the bassist and main guitarist are playing in a band called Salmon Asylum, while the vocalist became a producer for Habitat Sound System. Read more on Last.fm.
